Did you know the NSW White Card is accepted throughout Australia?
All Australian States and Territories have adopted the National Standard White Card Induction, CPCCOHS1001A – “Work Safely in the Construction Industry”.
White Cards now replace the WA and QLD Blue Cards , VIC Red Card and NSW Green Card and White Cards issued prior to Sept. 2009.
Mutual recognition arrangements enhance the capacity of construction workers to move across state/territory boundaries without the requirement to undertake construction induction training in each jurisdiction.
All States and Territories issue the new National Standard White Card and all of these cards are mutually recognised across State and Territory borders – i.e. if you have a card issued in one location it is recognised in all other States and Territories.
Yes. White Cards issued under any state or territory or online is accepted in NSW.
NSW Worksafe Website States:
Construction workers can work in NSW using valid construction induction cards issued by all states and territories under the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work”
If you complete the course in NSW you will receive a QLD White Card.
Some workplaces may implement a higher standard than what is legally required, so it is recommended that you check with your employer as to what construction induction is necessary.
If you specifically require a NSW White Card you will need to attend a face to face course in your state
